Foreign guests don’t pay for medical services, if there is a signed convention on medical care between Croatia and the guest’s homeland.
All foreign citizens who stay in Croatia are entitled to FIRST AID.
Beside medical institutions in the county for the tourist season 2015 (01st July – 31st August) there are 3 tourist ambulances in Murter, Rogoznica and Vodice, offering a medical service throughout the whole day.
The first aid team in Šibenik – Knin County has a seat in Šibenik with branch offices in Knin and Tisno on the island of Murter. Drniš, Primošten and Skradin have also the first aid teams on duty.
There are pharmacies in every bigger settlement, usually open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. In bigger places there are pharmacies on duty open 24 hours.
The whole Croatia belongs to COUNTRIES WITHOUT RISK speaking about dangerous infectious diseases. All tourists coming to Croatia, vaccinated on regular basis in their countries, don’t have to be additionally vaccinated before their arrival to Croatia.

Patient’s medical file, according to the certificate on insurance of a foreign insured person has been issued by:
- tourist outpatient clinics.
During their stay in Croatia, the tourists may use services in medical institutions and hospitals, with a minimal charge, paid also by Croatian citizens
- the insured people from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and Great Britain need to present a passport.
- Together with a passport or an ID card, the tourists from the following countries also need the following forms:
